Identification of stress-dependent Bauschinger-coefficients

The numerical modeling of the Bauschinger effect, which describes the chances of the materials hardening behavior after a load reversal, provides the opportunity to increase the prediction accuracy in the FEM based design of sheet metal forming processes significantly. However, the non-standardized characterization of the effect and the identification of appended kinematic hardening models lead to results that strongly depend on the used testing method, the underlying stress-state and the evaluation strategy. Therefore, the superior goal of the research is the development of practically relevant methods for the characterization of the stress- and strain-dependent Bauschinger effect by the use of appropriate test setups.
