The increasing miniaturization of electronic, optical and mechanical components in the in-dustrial production requires high precision. Laser adjustment is a new innovative technology to ensure a highly precise positioning of functional elements, such as lenses in CD devices. First, the functional element adjusted on the actuator geometry needs to be assembled into the device. In a second step laser beams are given on predefined points on the actuator which causes a forming of the actuators geometry and thus a geometric positioning of the func-tional element. Its application, however, requires an optimized construction of the actuator geometry, considering the device and the functional element. This research aims at developing a concept and an implementation of a modular system in order to design and compute an actuator system optimized for the respective problem. Therefore, the actuator system is described as a kinematic chain of single geometric ele-ments. The construction of the geometry uses further a predefined set of basic actuators. Us-ing both the kinematic chain and the construction catalogue, the complete actuator system can be designed in the CAD-system.
